What would be Avengers: Secret Wars' best superhero team-up?
Avengers: Secret Wars has the potential to feature a wide array of MCU and multiverse heroes. In order to defeat Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, many powerful heroes will have to team up, and that could include some pairings that fans have been waiting to see for a very long time. The superhero duo I most want to see is Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, as the two helped set the path for future Marvel movies. I'd also love to see Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man with a Spider-Woman version of Emma stone's Gwen Stacy, bringing their chemistry back.

Who is the best live-action Superman actor?
Henry Cavill was the latest to take flight in theaters, but the DCEU's bleaker take on the Man of Steel never allowed him to truly shine. Brandon Routh had immense potential but was saddled with a boring movie. Tyler Hoechlin is a fantastic Clark Kent and Superman, being a top candidate. It is hard to put other actors above Tom Welling, as the star had ten seasons to develop his Clark Kent in Smallville. Ultimately, Christopher Reeve still stands as the most iconic take on Superman with a perfect dual performance, but David Corenswet could change things in 2025's Superman.

Why did Harold and the Purple Crayon flop?
The live-action adaptation of Harold and the Purple Crayon is officially a box office flop, having made only $9 million in its global opening. Oddly enough, it has a strong 92% Audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes against just a 25% Critic rating. Critics have called it bleak and boring, but audiences overwhelmingly see it as a fun family movie. Unfortunately, it’s competing with box office juggernaut Inside Out 2. Sony probably would have been better off releasing Harold and the Purple Crayon in the winter, as it’s a strange choice for a summer movie.

Will Zachary Levi's Shazam return in the DCU after James Gunn's recent canon comments?
Despite the sequel's mid-credits scene seemingly confirming his future in the new franchise, James Gunn recently confirmed thatShazam! Fury of the Gods' tag of Harcourt and Economos recruiting Zachary Levi's titular hero for the Justice Society will not be canon in the DC Universe. As such, the question now becomes whether Shazam will actually return for the DCU, or if Gunn will leave him behind. Despite being one of the better reviewed subfranchises of the now-defunct DC Extended Universe, I do think it's more likely that Levi won't be back, as his actual plans for the DCU don't seem to leave much room open for Shazam to appear, unless Gunn greenlights future installments under the Elseworlds label.

The Superman costume is still proving to be divisive, with some preferring Henry Cavill's sleeker design, and lots in favor of the old school comic aesthetic. But what do you think? Who should play Batman in James Gunn's DCU?
I'm not huge on many of the common casting ideas for Batman in The Brave and the Bold movie, but one star who's caught my eye is Lee Pace. He's the right age for an older Batman to fit the DCU's story, and he's got the physicality to be one of the most imposing iterations of the character, much like Affleck's.

What is the best Friday the 13th movie?
It’s officially Friday the 13th, which means everyone should be having a Friday the 13th movie marathon. Unfortunately, not all of them are worth the watch, particularly the strange switch to sci-fi, Jason X. Though the original Friday the 13th is a great movie that sets up the rest of the franchise, I think Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is the best of the bunch. The Final Chapter is a great slasher film with a cool 80s feel to it. I’d consider it an instant classic.

Who should take over playing Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street?
Robert Englund recently confirmed that he would not be playing Freddy Krueger in theNightmare on Elm Streetfranchise again in the future beyond a potential animated movie, leaving the door open for someone else to take on the role. Though the prior attempt to relaunch the franchise with the Jackie Earle Haley-led 2010 remake was largely dismissed by critics, Haley's performance has stood out as one of the few good things about it for me, and I would certainly be open to him coming back. If not, other people I think would be great are Englund's own secondary pick, Kevin Bacon, particularly as it would be a fun full-circle moment to see him go from slasher victim in the originalFriday the 13thto an iconic slasher, Richard Brake, who is often incredibly haunting in the indie horror genre sphere, or if they want to go in a more quippy direction as the later sequels did, I would love to see Doug Jones or Matthew Lillard.

How do you feel about the Salem's Lot remake's streaming-only release?
The upcoming new adaptation ofSalem's Lotis finally right around the corner, currently set for a streaming-only release on Max on October 3. While I am thrilled that the movie is finally going to see the light of day after being delayed numerous times over the past two years, I am a little disappointed it's not going to be a theatrical release, as its horror aesthetic is perfect to watch on the big screen during the spooky season, especially given the majority of recent Stephen King adaptations have been streaming exclusives rather than make it to theaters.

Who should play Rogue in the MCU's X-Men reboot?
As development continues on the Marvel Cinematic Universe-set reboot of the X-Menfranchise, fans continue to voice their picks for who should play the iconic mutant superhero team, including Rogue. While some minds may gravitate to the likes of Jenna Ortega or Millie Bobby Brown for the role, I'd personally be intrigued to see Mckenna Grace's take on the character, as she's not only shown an incredible acting range in the recentGhostbustersmovie andA Friend of the Family, but also an interesting mix of introverted and extroverted personalities with her characters that I think would suit Rogue perfectly. Additionally, given the MCU has recast actors in the past, Grace's prior role as a young Carol Danvers could easily be a non-issue.
What is the most underrated war movie of all time?
War movies like Apocalypse Now and Saving Private Ryan stand out as the most distinguished war films of their respective eras, but there are some unbelievable classics that slipped through the cracks and never achieved commercial popularity. Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line is my favorite war movie and it's one that I insist is underrated and underappreciated. Not only is Malick one of the most impressive visual directors ever, but the cast is filled with A-list actors, and it's got a stunning musical score

Should Gal Gadot be the DCU's Wonder Woman?
The new DC Universe has yet to announce who will play its Wonder Woman. However, all signs point to Gal Gadot — like the rest of the DCEU's Justice League cast — being out of the role. While I mostly liked Gadot's Wonder Woman, I don't think she was the definitive casting for the character. As such, I think casting a new actor as the DCU's Wonder Woman would be the ideal move, making way for a new era for Diana Prince, perhaps with a bigger focus on her Greek ties. Hit Man's Adria Arjona would be a great choice.

Is Woman of the Hour worth streaming on Netflix?
Anna Kendrick's directorial debut, Woman of the Hour, is unsettling in the best way possible. This movie is based on the true story of a serial killer who ended up on The Dating Game, which is perhaps what is so scary about it. Even those who know the story will be in awe of this film. I truly cannot get over the fact that this is the first movie Kendrick has directed, and cannot wait to see what she does next. The fact that she also stars in this movie is impressive. Woman of the Hour is absolutely worth streaming on Netflix - but if it is playing in a theater near you, see it on the big screen!

When will the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer release?
After a two-year wait,Sonic the Hedgehog 3's release is finally right around the corner, currently set for a December 20 date, and yet no proper trailer has been released for the threequel by Paramount, save for a brief snippet of footage shown at CinemaCon in April. Though there is some concern this is pointing to a release date delay, I think it's more likely Paramount is saving the trailer to be released around the same time as Transformers One, given the prequel's family-friendly tone and leaving just enough time untilSonic the Hedgehog 3's arrival to build anticipation.

Could Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman 3 happen as a DC Elseworlds movie?
Though it's been nearly five years since her last solo film as the character, and James Gunn's DC Universe looks to be moving on entirely from her in the part, there are some fans still hopeful for Gal Gadot'sWonder Woman 3to happen, including her own co-stars, Connie Nielsen and Chris Pine. Given Gunn has remained open to non-DCU-connected films utilizing the DC Elseworlds banner, I do think it's possible for Gadot to get her third movie, though the chances still seem quite slim. Considering Gadot was part of the universe Gunn is trying to move on from, it would likely prove too temperamental to try and explain to audiences their lack of connection, and potentially even spark further backlash if the movie was a one-and-done for Gadot and co.

What is the best David Corenswet movie or TV show to watch to prepare for his Superman?
2025 will see a new Superman come to life, as David Corenswet takes to the skies as the DC Universe's Man of Steel. For those unfamiliar with his work, I believe that the Netflix series Hollywood gives a pretty good rundown of his skills as a leading man, with Corenswet's character having Clark Kent's bubbly personality. As for his Superman side, Corenswet is not in The Politician all that much, but his role as River Barkley is key to the series, and the actor has multiple scenes where he shows he is the perfect star for a hopeful Superman.

Which horror movie has the most satisfying ending?
Not every horror movie ends with the villain getting what they deserve. Even when the hero kills the villain, there are times when it’s anticlimactic, or it doesn’t feel like true justice because of what the villain had done to their victims. Ready or Not has the most satisfying horror movie ending in my opinion. Watching the family get what they deserve one by one, and Grace coming to the realization that she’d won was perfect. It was gory and funny, leaving viewers on a high.

Do you want to see more Super Pets featured in the DCU after Krypto?
James Gunn recently revealed the first image of Krypto the Super Dog in the DCU. Appearing in 2025's Superman, it's likely that Krypto will also be featured in the upcomingSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrowmovie. I love Krypto's unique (and adorable) design, and I would be very excited to see other Super Pets in live-action like Ace the Bat-Hound or Nightwing's dog Haley aka Bitewing.
